My garage torsion spring broke after 18+ years, so I ordered another spring using the SAME SIZE shown on the broken spring. Installed it on my 8ft door which requires 33 to 34 turns. I’m up to around 45 quarter turns and when I lift the door halfway it falls to the floor. I noticed that this new spring did not expand out as far as the previous spring. It’s about 3-eighth inch short of the indentation mark of the old spring. Should I do 33 quarter turns and tap spring to stretch it out to the old spot on the shaft?

It's just TRBL.. OMG, you need to do a video on the commercials with TRBL in them, my kids and I just laugh our heads off when someone says that. We say it around our house now and that brings many laughs to our house. It is a must hear commercial.. It's just TRBL, just TRBL I say, T R B L. Too funny.. Going to miss it on WYAY radio station 106.7 Hard to believe WYAY sold out to an ALL Christian broadcasting company. Fired everyone there, which was totally wrong. If I had the money, I would start my own station and hire all of the DJ's that work there now. Love them all, they got me through the day. I looked forward to the laughing every day, soon will be nothing to listen to while driving around. Guys, If I ever need anything done to my garage door, you can bank on it, I will be calling All 4 Seasons for sure!!! Thank you for the months of laughs with your commercials.
